They say a lady who cuts her hair
changes her life.
It's 29 June 2017, and I turn 23.
Changes are something I've gotten used
to, and welcome very readily! In my line of work – you learn never to be
overly-committed to one single look. Trends come and go – sure you might have a
favourite style, or a go-to fall-back plan (for days when you just don’t have
the time to plan an outfit or whatever). It’s the change – and the rate at
which this occurs – which fuels my everyday.
That said, how else better to celebrate
turning another year older… than making a change right? :D
The obvious choice was to visit the
dream team at Kenjo Salon, and be surprised.
MID-POST ANNOUNCEMENT - Good news! Senior
Stylist Justin who handles my hair has just emerged amongst the TOP 5 Qualifiers
of the very finest hair stylists in the country!! What’s next for our champ, is
a showcase on 15 August 2017, at Suntec City (Goldwell Colorzoom Challenge
2017). Justin's portfolio and creative cut and colour blew the judges away at
prejudging, propelling him towards success!
So what was on the menu for my birthday
hair, you might ask!
With a champ in the house, I definitely
needed to refresh my colour with Justin’s newly-credited Champion colour! We
kept it to a professional shade of natural brown – so nobody at work would be
too shocked with the difference! But of course, treatment would be necessary
given the daily washes I clock in with the exercise I do. Justin recommended a
Olaplex treatment to condition the hair after the colour. This would also lock
in all the goodness from the organic MUCOTA hair colour. Sounds good already
doesn’t it? Locking in all that goodness ^^
We updated my bob with a little trim –
I’m thinking of growing it out now, till maybe shoulder-length. Help me out
here folks – I’m caught in a dilemma of growing out my tresses, or leaving it
short and neat as is. Both looks appeal to me and I’m really undecided on this.

haha! Well, short hair, long hair – Champ, Justin has it all under control. I
asked him what he suggested. Justin applied the MUCOTA hair treatment on my hair
as we talked – well, short hair looks fresh, and is easily maintained – BUT
longer hair allows for more styling, which hair stylists on jobs would
appreciate. What do you think – longer hair that falls till my waist (aka
circa. 2012 Kim) / Short bob (aka now) / Shoulder Length (aka 2015 Kim)?
